Széchenyi 2020 – Investment in the Future
“Increasing the Competitiveness of Aba Wood Ltd. through Adaptive Technological Innovation”
At the Nagyvázsony site of Aba Wood Faipari Ltd., 1 Optima 60 automatic optimizing cross-cut saw and 1 Visual Window STANDARD software were purchased with the support of a HUF 6.8 million non-refundable grant awarded under the Széchenyi 2020 program.
The Company was founded in 2015 by a Hungarian private individual. Its main activity is the manufacture of builders’ carpentry products (TEÁOR 1623’08), which was further developed within the framework of the present project. The project was implemented at the workshop located at 8291 Nagyvázsony, Vásártér utca 18., which has served as the Company’s registered seat and site since 2015.
The Company’s objective was to establish a technological base enabling the automation of certain work processes, thereby increasing production efficiency and improving product quality. An additional goal was to expand production capacity by reducing processing time, thus achieving higher revenue.
Within the framework of the project, the Company acquired an OMGA Optima 60 automatic optimizing cross-cut saw. Thanks to this equipment, self-costs arising from waste generation can be minimized, as the saw marks the dimensions programmed by the operator on the raw materials and cuts them to size with minimal waste and scrap. The machine removes defects marked on the control interface without generating unnecessary waste, resulting in higher-quality products that can be sold at higher market prices, thereby increasing the Company’s revenue. The project also included the acquisition of Visual Window STANDARD software, which optimizes the Company’s entire production process from design to manufacturing. With the help of the software, transitions between individual work processes can be managed smoothly and flexibly, reducing costs arising from errors.
The equipment acquired under the grant is modern and complies with European quality standards.
The machinery and software purchased during the development were put into operation immediately, and following the completion of the project, they were integrated into the Company’s daily operations without delay. The Company has the appropriate professional and organizational background to operate the acquired equipment and software and to maintain the direct and indirect results generated by the development.
The project was implemented under the Széchenyi 2020 program with the support of HUF 6.8 million in European Union funding.
